Furthermore, several of the towns that immediately border Maynard are incredibly expensive. In these towns, it's not uncommon that average home will cost more than $500,000. So unless your salary can afford half a million plus the annual taxes upwards of 14% on that property, you will want an affordable community. Maynard is a safe cost alternative without sacrificing location, services, or quality of life.

Location

Maynard is situated perfectly. The town is central to the cities of Boston and Worcestor as well as to more distant locations in New Hampshire or Connecticut but . Located just within the I495 Belt, Maynard is also near other major routes yet doesn't suffer ugly mini-mall strips of traffic lights. Routes 27, 62, and 117 run through town and are major roads that connect to other state highways. There's also Route 2 in the adjacent town of Acton that runs East-West. Commuters also access Route 290 in the adjacent town of Hudson to quickly reach the Worcestor area. In short, Maynard is at the crossroads of where most people need to get to but still a quiet community.

Services

Massachusetts is a great place to be. While the state is geographically small, it is on par with any other part of the union. And Maynard benefits. Here, the economy is varied and strong, and there is ample opportunity for work. The state also is a mecca of advanced health and educational services. Maynard has equal access to these opportunities and services, so residents do not lack anything.

Quality of Life

When property prices in a town like Maynard do not top the state's list of most expensive communities, home buyers tend to think there's something wrong with the town. They fall into the trap of just because it is expensive, it must be the best. Not true, and there are even arguments at to why Maynard is better than some communities with higher property value.

The truth is that Maynard has a high quality of life with good neighborhoods, services, and schools. And even for the unpleasant topics such as crime, no community is immune, but Maynard is at the bottom of the list and as safe as any of the surrounding communities. For this topic, you can conduct crime research.
